First-hand

Nottingham, in Jamie’s words.

Nottingham's where I'm putting a lot of my time right now, especially pubs, bars, restaurants and cafés. Her Days is one of mine, running on Shift4.

It's a busy city with plenty of independents taking serious money on card, which is where Square really comes into its own. For smaller places, Shift4 is usually the better fit, and I'll tell you honestly which one suits you.

I'll come out the same week, the first visit's free with no call-out fee, and I start by going through your last statement so you know exactly what you're paying now. After that, you ring me directly, not a call centre.

Where the trade is

Nottingham had a population of 323,632 at the 2021 census, with 768,638 across the wider built-up area, and it hosts the highest concentration of higher education providers in the East Midlands.2 The city centre is usually defined around the Old Market Square; Hockley is the area of specialist and independent shops, and many Lace Market buildings have become apartments, bars and restaurants, with more bars and restaurants in repurposed canal-side industrial buildings.3

What people in Nottingham ask us.

Do you cover the whole city or just the centre?

The whole city and the suburbs. We have separate pages for Sneinton, Lenton, Hyson Green, West Bridgford, Beeston, Sherwood, Arnold and Bulwell because they trade differently.

Can you handle a match day or Goose Fair?

Yes, and it’s worth telling us in advance. A venue near the City Ground on a Saturday has a completely different peak from its normal week, and the setup should account for it.
