What is a takeaway EPOS?

A system that puts walk-ins, phone orders and delivery-app orders on one kitchen screen, prints tickets by station, and takes payment at the counter or over the phone.

We set takeaways up on Square, with the menu built and the printers positioned before your first busy night.

Give your takeaway the edge.

Counter and phone orders together

Ring walk-ins and phone orders from the same screen, and take card payment over the phone for collection. Kit: Square Register, Square Terminal, Virtual Terminal.

Delivery apps in one place

Just Eat, Deliveroo and Uber Eats orders pulled into the same kitchen screen, so nobody re-types them. Kit: Deliverect or Otter.

Your own ordering page

Click-and-collect from your own site, so regulars order direct. Kit: Square Online.

Tickets by station

Fryer, grill and pass each get their own ticket. Kit: kitchen printers, Square KDS.

Why takeaways choose Atlas.

  • Your menu is built and your printers are in the right placebefore the first Friday.
  • Fitted on site, not posted in a boxAcross the East Midlands we come out, place the kit and train whoever is on shift. Elsewhere in the UK we ship it configured and set it up with you on a call.
  • One number afterwardsThe person who specced it is the person who answers. Not a ticket queue, not a call centre.

What we’d fit.

Works with what you already use.

We check the apps you already pay for before anything is ordered.

Takeaways questions, answered.

Can delivery-app orders print in the kitchen?

Yes, through Deliverect or Otter. They arrive alongside counter orders.

Can we take card payments over the phone?

Yes, using Square's Virtual Terminal from the dashboard.

Does it work at a hatch or from a van?

Yes. For a hatch or a van without Wi-Fi we fit a Shift4 One card machine with its own SIM card, which works on mobile data. See also the food trucks page.

What happens on a busy night if the Wi-Fi drops?

Square Terminal, Register and Handheld keep taking payments offline and upload them when the connection returns, within 24 hours to be safe. Contactless cards need a connection, phone wallets don't, so we check your signal first.

Can I keep my existing printers?

Often, yes. We check compatibility before quoting.

Can you fit it between lunch and evening service?

Yes. Most takeaway installs are done in the afternoon gap.
