How it goes, from first call to first sale.
Statement check first. Then we fit it in person where we cover, or set it up with you on a call everywhere else. Authorised for Square and Shift4, and the same person answers afterwards.
Fitted in person, in the towns we cover.
Free visit, no call-out fee, and usually the same week for most of our towns (the furthest ones we plan with you when you call).
- 1
Statement check
Send last month’s statement. We work out what you really pay and tell you straight if you’re better staying put.
- 2
We visit
We watch how you serve, measure the counter and test the signal before we spec anything.
- 3
Fitted and trained
Menu built, kit installed, staff trained on your real items before you go live.
- 4
Still local afterwards
Same person, same number. If something needs hands on it, we come back out.
Set up remotely, live in about three working days.
Everywhere outside the towns we visit: your account and menu are built first, the kit arrives configured, and we set it up with you on a video call. Square kit usually arrives the next working day. Cities we supply.
- D1
Statement check by phone
Send last month’s statement. We tell you what you really pay and what you’d pay with us.
- D1
We build your account
Menu or product list, modifiers, staff logins and receipts, from what you send us.
- D2
Delivered configured
Square kit usually arrives the next working day. It arrives ready to switch on.
- D3
Set up on a video call
We stay on while you run the first few transactions, then hand over the number you’ll ring afterwards.
Priced around your counter, not a price list.
Rates depend on what you take and how you take it. Hardware depends on what we'd actually fit. We don't publish a number that would be wrong for most people.
Ten minutes and a statement
That's enough for us to put a figure in writing, before we come out or anything ships.
Nothing submitted until you say so
The quote is itemised, with the plan you actually need. No provider sees anything until you agree.
If you're better off staying put
We say so. A statement review that ends with "keep what you have" costs you nothing.
When the signal drops.
The honest answer depends on the provider, so each claim below is that provider's own.
On Square
Square Terminal, Register and Handheld keep taking payments offline and upload them when the connection returns, within 24 hours to be safe. Contactless cards need a connection, phone wallets don’t.
Away from Wi-Fi
For trading away from Wi-Fi we fit a Shift4 One card machine with its own SIM card, which works on mobile data.
Before we spec anything
We test the signal where you actually trade, and say so if the building needs Ethernet or a different device.
What we fit, by provider.
Each item is labelled with the provider it runs on, and each provider’s claims stay its own. The right one is decided by where the payment actually happens, not by the spec sheet. All the hardware.

The questions everyone asks.
Will it keep working when the room is packed or the signal drops?
On Square: Square Terminal, Register and Handheld keep taking payments offline and upload them when the connection returns, within 24 hours to be safe. Contactless cards need a connection, phone wallets don’t. Away from Wi-Fi, for trading away from Wi-Fi we fit a Shift4 One card machine with its own SIM card, which works on mobile data.
Why go through you rather than straight to the provider?
Because you get a statement review before you spend anything, a recommendation that isn’t tied to one provider, a real person building your menu and staying with you for the first sales, and the same person afterwards.
Is the setup any good if nobody turns up?
It’s the same work, done remotely. The menu is built from what you send us, the kit arrives configured, and we stay on the call while you run the first few transactions.
Who do I speak to afterwards?
The same person who set you up. One number, no ticket queue, and not a call centre.
What if my current deal is already good?
We’ll tell you. Send a recent statement and we’ll work out what you really pay. If you’re better off where you are, that’s the answer you get, free.
Square or Shift4?
It depends on the business. Bigger, busier places with higher card takings usually suit Square. Smaller shops, cafés and anyone trading off a van or a market pitch usually suit Shift4, because the Shift4 One takes its own SIM. We’re authorised for Square and Shift4 and tell you which fits, and why.
How fast can I get a card machine if you're setting me up remotely?
Once your account is approved, square kit usually arrives the next working day. already set up with your menu or products. Allow about three working days from first call to first sale.
Ready when you are.
Send a statement or tell us what you sell. We'll put it in writing, then fit it or ship it configured.
