EPOS and card machines for coffee shops.
In a coffee shop the queue is the product. Every second at the counter between eight and nine is somebody deciding whether to wait or walk on.

A new café, live before the doors openedThe story →
What is a coffee shop EPOS?
A till where sizes, milks, shots and syrups sit as options on the drink, so an oat flat white with an extra shot is three taps and prices itself correctly. Orders print at the bar or appear on a screen when two people are on the machine. Loyalty and card payment sit on the same account, so nothing needs a second device or a stamp card.
We set coffee shops up on Square, with the drinks menu built before the kit arrives.
Give your coffee shop the edge.
Modifiers, not a wall of buttons
Every drink built with its options before you go live: sizes, milks, extra shots, syrups, decaf. The price adjusts automatically and the ticket tells the barista exactly what to make. Kit: Square Register, Square Stand.
The order reaches the bar
A ticket printer for a small site, a screen at the machine where two baristas work. No shouting orders over the grinder. Kit: kitchen printer, Square KDS.
Regulars, rewarded
Digital loyalty signed up at the till, so the tenth coffee is free without a stamp card in sight. Kit: Square Loyalty (add-on).
Pre-orders off the counter
Customers order and pay ahead from your own page, then collect without queuing. Kit: Square Online.
Why coffee shops choose Atlas.
- Your drinks menu is built before we arriveEvery option and price set, so the first morning feels like the hundredth.
- Fitted on site, not posted in a boxAcross the East Midlands we come out, place the kit and train whoever is on shift. Elsewhere in the UK we ship it configured and set it up with you on a call.
- One number afterwardsThe person who specced it is the person who answers. Not a ticket queue, not a call centre.
What we’d fit.
A till at the counter and a printer at the machine. A second reader if mornings back up.
Works with what you already use.
We check the apps you already pay for before anything is ordered.
Coffee shops questions, answered.
Can it do milks, shots and syrups as options?
Yes. They're modifiers on each drink, priced individually, and they print on the ticket so the barista sees them.
Can customers order ahead?
Yes, from your own ordering page or a QR code on the table. Orders arrive at the bar with a collection time.
Do you build the menu for me?
Yes. Send us your board or a photo of it and we build every item and option before go-live.
Where should the card reader go?
Wherever the customer finishes their order. We work out the counter flow on the visit, or over a video call for remote set-ups.
Can staff take tips?
Yes. Tipping can appear on screen at payment, and you choose how tips are recorded.
What happens if the Wi-Fi drops during the morning rush?
Square Terminal, Register and Handheld keep taking payments offline and upload them when the connection returns, within 24 hours to be safe. Contactless cards need a connection, phone wallets don't, so we check your signal first.
