Built Because Independents Deserved Better Than A Call Centre.
Atlas Payments started with a pattern that kept repeating. A landlord, a shop owner or a restaurant manager would show me their merchant statement and have no real idea what they were paying. Rental on a terminal paid off years ago. A rate that had quietly crept up. A PCI charge nobody had explained.
None of it was illegal. It was just sold badly, by people who were never going to come back. I wanted to build the opposite of that: an independent local business that sits down with you, works out the truth, and stays reachable afterwards.
Atlas is an authorised Shift4 partner, so the payments run on infrastructure used by businesses far larger than ours. The difference is who you deal with. That is me, 07543 804 014, and I answer it.

What Founder-Led Actually Means
You meet the person who owns the relationship. Not a field agent on commission who disappears once the paperwork clears, and not a rotating account manager in a queue.
We look at your statement first because a quote without it is guesswork. Once we know your real effective rate, we can tell you plainly whether we can beat it and by how much.
If we can't, we say so. That happens, and it costs us nothing to be straight with you. The businesses we look after tend to send their neighbours, which is the only marketing a company like this really needs.
After the switch, you still have the same number. Terminal problems, a new member of staff who needs training, an extra machine for a busy summer — same person, same day where we can.

Based in Mansfield, working across the East Midlands. If something breaks, you get a person who can be in your venue rather than a ticket number.

We are not a call centre and we are not tied to one piece of kit. We recommend the terminal or till that fits how you actually trade.
Long-Term
The rate you agree is the rate you keep. We review it with you rather than letting it drift upwards while nobody is looking.
